Because of my concussion, the doctor said I was to do light activity only, slowly moving it up in intensity. If I got a headache, I was to move it back to the level that I could do without headache.
So 2 days of no computer/tv. 2 days of mostly being disconnected from the outside world. 2 days.
Today, I woke up, no headache. Spent some time on the computer. No headache. Well, mostly. But I ignored it and planned a walk anyhow.
I sent a call out to my friends – anyone want to walk?? And got a couple responses.
So Sam showed up, and we took our doggies out for a trail walk. My usual route is about an hour long – perfect for a walk and enough hill and uneven terrain to give me a decent workout.
I took it easy, but still managed to work up a sweat and get slightly out of breath.
Loved the walk.
Love the trails.
Loved the company.
Love even more the fact that I didn’t get a headache at *all* today.
Except now – and that’s because I’m tired and emotional.
But I’m glad to know that I’m on the mend. Tomorrow, another walk. Thursday, something a bit more strenuous. Friday, more strenuous. Saturday, if it’s dry, skates go on. Sunday is practice.
Life is good 🙂 Just need to remember to not fall on my head LOLOLOL
